The short version: you are our customer, the parent. You give us your email and your own observations about your child. We use that to generate a private note to you and to send you the materials you asked for. We don't sell your information, and we ask for as little as possible.
Quiet Kid Interview Prep ("we," "us," "the service") is operated by J. Hines Educational Consulting, LLC, based in Amherst, Massachusetts, USA. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We've kept it plain on purpose.
This service is built for parents. It coaches the parent, never the child. A child does not create an account, log in, or interact with the service directly. Everything we receive about a child comes from you, the parent, in your own words.
When you buy, payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Standard web data such as device and browser type, collected by our hosting provider to keep the site running and secure.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your child's information for advertising.
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we use Meta's advertising tools, including the Meta pixel and its Conversions API, to understand which ads actually help parents find us. When you download the guide, take the quiz, or purchase the interview prep tool, we may share a securely hashed version of your email address with Meta; for purchases, we also share the amount paid. Hashing scrambles it into a string that cannot be read or turned back into your address; Meta uses it only to match your visit against records it already has, so we can tell whether an ad worked. We never send Meta anything about your child or your quiz answers. We do not sell your information, and you can limit ad measurement like this anytime in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.
One part of the paid tool — the "portrait" — uses AI. When you complete a practice run, the observations you reported are sent to Anthropic (our AI provider) to generate a short note back to you, the parent. The note is for you; it is not an evaluation, score, or diagnosis of your child.
Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, the information sent through the API is not used to train their AI models.

This service is directed to parents, not to children. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or submit information to us, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All information we receive about a child is provided by a parent, and we limit it to age and parent-reported behavioral observations — never a name, photo, contact details, or other identifiers.

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take care to keep what we collect minimal and protected.
